First National Bank of Wauchula was founded January 1, 1960, and opened for business January 12, 1960, at 107 E Main Street in downtown Wauchula. The bank occupied this location until 1976 when it relocated to its present address at 406 N. 6th Avenue, also known as Highway 17 North.
